Professor Ogunmola to deliver 2nd Obong University Convocation Lecture

The Chancellor of Lead City University and Chairman, Institute of Genetic Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine, Professor Gabriel Ogunmola, FAS is to deliver the 2nd Convocation Lecture of Obong University today by 2pm.
The Convocation lecture which has its topic “Public Private Partnership: The Role of Government in Developing and Sustaining Private Universities.” will hold at the Sullivan hall at Obong University campus.
The event will be chaired by the Honourable Commissioner for Education, Akwa Ibom state, Rt Hon. Aniekan Akpan.
A former President of the Nigerian Academy of Science, Professor Ogunmola has also served as Chairman of the African Regional Committee of International Council for Science (ICSU) since 2004.
In the meantime, the Vice Chancellor of Obong University, Professor Udoudo Moses Ekanemesang has invited Government Functionaries, Stakeholders in the Educational sector as well as member of the public to attend the Convocation Lecture.
Activities marking the 2nd Convocation Ceremonies will be rounded off tomorrow, Saturday, November 21st, with the award of First Degrees and Prizes to graduands of the institution as well as Honorary Degrees to some distinguished personalities.
The event is slated to hold at the Obong University Convocation Park by 10am.
